On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the birth of this ingenious inventor, in the framework of the celebration of the Year of Nikola Tesla, taking place under the aegis of the Parliament of the Republic of Croatia, the Agency for Education of the Republic of Croatia published this interactive CD-ROM titled 'Tesla's day'.
The CD-ROM is intended for primary and high school students and their teachers, as well as for all admirers of Tesla's work, and for all other enthusiasts interested in facts from the life of this 'unmatched genius' as his contemporaries called him - the name still used today, since his discoveries shaped significantly the life style of the people of the 20th, even of the 21st century.
An interactive CD-ROM is an ideal medium appropriate for the times today, but also representing part of the technology born from Tesla's inventions and ideas, making this medium an additional acknowledgement to Tesla's life and his inventions. That is achieved not only with textual contents, but also with illustrations, interactive animations, teacher's corner, video recordings and original photographs and music.
A large number of associates and local and foreign institutions took part in this project since the main idea of the whole project is to use medias of voice, sound, picture, text, video and animation - all in one place - to remind curious CD-ROM users that each and every day is marked, made easier and more beautiful by Tesla - it would be truly hard to imagine everyday life without his inventions.
