Vladimir Končar was born in Bjelovar in 1978. Since the early beginnings he has manifested an inexhaustible energy and interdisciplinarity through work in multiple areas, from classical painting, performance, theatre, art installations, design, to multimedia solutions for exhibitions and new media.
In 1997 he enrolled in the Faculty of Graphic Arts at the University of Zagreb, design course. Dissatisfied with the programme of the faculty at the time, he privately attends classical painting under professor Frane Radak. At the same time he attends several courses of drawing within the Student Centre and centre for visual arts education Rokov perivoj.
In 1999 he was one of the founders and a leader of Bjelovar Association for Cultural ActivityBUKA, where he worked on activation and promotion of culture through magazine AKT, Teatar Puknuti, and through many creative workshops.
In his student days he joined theatre Gaudeamus, first as a stage designer, and later as an actor, within the Culture Centre Peščenica led by Davor Paviša. Soon the group leaves the centre and forms Theatre Elmer which makes two cult student amateur plays Elmer the Patchwork Elephant and How Mr. Mockingpott Is Cured of His Sufferings.
From 2001 to 2005 he is a member of comic art group Divlje oko (Wild Eye) that sets comic as a form of artistic content. In 2004 he becomes a professional member of the Croatian Association of Designers (HDD), and in 2005 a member of Croatian Association of Applied Arts Artists (ULUPUH), a section of multimedia and intermedia. In 2005 he finished a film school organized by Kino Klub Zagrebunder the director Ognjen Sviličić and cameraman Vjeran Šalamon.
During his final year of study, in 2003, he has become one of the founders of multimedia design studio Revolucija where he successfully creates interactive interfaces and various Internet projects in cultural sector, business sector, and in scientific institutions.
Together with the company Muze and Studio Cuculić he has created Creative Cluster which through its acting works on interdisciplinary and multimedia projects of museum settings and on development of contemporary centres for visitors (Ivana’s House of Fairytales in Ogulin, House of A.G. Matoš in Tovarnik, Ecoumuseum of Lace and Lacemaking in Lepoglava, House of Truffles in Buzet, Buzet – Truffle City, Plitvice Valleys, and House of Olives and Olive Growing in Tar-Vabriga).
As a permanent member of the music ensemble TrianguliZona, he took part in creating numerous concert performances combining live interactive video and music. Together with TrianguliZona he directed and produced two of their DVDs, Live in Kset (2006) and Flossy(2008).

He is the author of several experimental films and a few short documentaries, but his focus is mainly on a dance film as an art form.

As an editor and co-author (together with Slađan Lipovec) he expressed his fascination with life and work of a great inventor Nikola Tesla in the interactive CD-ROM called Tesla’s Day. Since 2007 he has been a member of the editorial board of literary magazine Quorum where he works as graphic editor.

His intensive study of experimental typography has started in 2007 when he created his first works within the art project Diary Type.

So far he has participated in nineteen group exhibitions and nine independent exhibitions in the country and abroad. He was granted with several awards, and his works were published in various renowned publications for art and design worldwide.

He rarely sleeps, and currently lives and works in Zagreb.
